Support Free Courts Foundation – on Patronite
We are a small (but effective) civic initiative, with big ambitions and goals. We defend the rule of law, support and represent judges who have been oppressed. We still have a lot of work ahead of us, and the rulings of the CJEU and ECtHR issued in the last two years give us more and more legal instruments to effectively defend the european legal order in Poland and to act against human rights violations.
It is in cases in which we act as attorneys that important rulings are made that have a direct impact on how courts apply European Union law and defend the rights of individuals whose rights have been violated by state authorities. In particular, the repressed judges. We are currently conducting over 50 proceedings, including before the Luxembourg and Strasbourg courts.
Representing judges, prosecutors and other lawyers is pro bono work to which we have devoted thousands of hours in recent years. As part of our work, we prepare reports, opinions, and analyses of case law, and we also record podcasts and clips to inform the public about the destruction of the justice system in Poland. That is why we decided to create an account on Patronite – thanks to regular support of our Patrons the #FreeCourts initiative will be able to develop and undertake new projects, initiate new proceedings and undertake new defenses in order to fight for European, fair, democratic Poland which respects the law and fundamental values, and for restoring our country’s good name and proper position in Europe and in the world.
