Justice24 Report

April 28th, 2023

While it is the mission of the legal community to uphold freedom, justice and peace in the world, in the face of illegal full-scale invasion of Ukraine started in February 2022, we felt the moral obligation to not only take a stance but also to act. In cooperation with the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union (UHHRU) under the coordination of Olena Sotnyk, Ukrainian attorney-at-law, the Free Courts Foundation (Fundacja Wolne Sądy) initiated a project Justice 24.

The Justice 24 was an international project that aimed to document the war crimes committed by the Russian state in Ukraine and assist victims in seeking justice before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasburg.

The project is described in detail in the report we present to you today.

Only the international community’s continued and efficient support for Ukraine can help end the war. The Council of Europe summit in Reykjavik is approaching – we call for decisive action to restore peace and justice in the region.
