At the end of November, we are launching our international project titled “Protecting Free Courts in Europe,” in which we will conduct workshops in European capitals on:
- lessons learned from the Polish struggle for the rule of law;
- tools that can be used by civil society organizations and legal experts to prevent attacks on the judiciary;
- communication between lawyers and civil society.
We are starting on November 28-29 in Prague, where we will conduct workshops as part of the event called „Justice under attack – Lessons from Poland”. The workshops will be addressed to lawyers, judges, NGOs, journalists and students. The event is free of charge and will be held in English.
The #FreeCourts will be represented by: Maria Ejchart-Dubois, attorney Paulina Kieszkowska-Knapik and Katarzyna Wisniewska PhD. Partners of the event are: National Endowment for Democracy, Abraham Legal, Law Faculty of the Charles University and the Czech Bar Association (ČAK – Česká advokátní komora).
